SIGIL is designed to be the kind of monitored platform a court order can name. Reports use the labels courts already read, the verification is printed on the page, and your client gets fair, plain-language terms.
Reports that read like a record
A message report is produced by deterministic code, not by AI. Messages are reproduced verbatim. No screening result appears in any report.
- Familiar labels first: Message k of N, Sent, From, To, First Viewed, Subject, Attachments.
- Full timestamps with the offset and UTC, every time, so no one has to ask which time zone.
- Line-numbered bodies, so a filing can cite a message and a line.
- A page ID and the chain head on every page, and scope on the cover: how many messages are in range and which, if any, were left out.
- Verification on the last page, with the hashes printed, so the paper itself can be checked.

Proof you can check, not proof you have to trust. A report can be checked three ways, and none of them requires trusting SIGIL.
On paper
Each page prints the chain head, and each message its fingerprint. Compare the first and last eight characters with a checkpoint the parties or the custodian already hold.
With the offline verifier
A single file that runs in any modern browser with no network connection. It recomputes every fingerprint, link and checkpoint, and checks the timestamps.
On the check page
The public check page runs the same checks in the browser. Files never leave the device.
Read-only for the case
Attorneys can be given read-only access to their client's channel where the order or the parties allow it. You see the record. You can't change it. Every view is logged.
What screening is, and isn't
- Automated screening by a large language model, against the communication terms in the order, before a message is sent.
- Each flag names the term and quotes the words. Flags are potential issues for human review, never findings.
- Automated screening, with human review before any flag is treated as more than an automated result.
- Results are shown only to the person writing. They are not part of the record and never appear in a report.
Terms your client can accept
Fair, plain-language terms, the same for both parents. They are in draft; the principles are published now, and the final text will be published before launch.
