Principles

What the policy will say, in plain words

  1. Collect what the channel needs

    Account details, the order's communication terms, the messages you send, and the times they were sent and first viewed. Nothing collected just in case.

  2. Unsent drafts are never stored

    Drafts, messages SIGIL held back and style tips are not written to storage. Screening runs in memory.

  3. Screening results stay with the writer

    They are shown only to the person writing and never appear on the shared message, a receipt or a report.

  4. Only fingerprints leave for anchoring

    Timestamp authorities and OpenTimestamps receive fingerprints, never content or names.

  5. Sharing only as the parties or an order direct

    Records can be exported by the parties and produced by court order. SIGIL does not otherwise share message content.

  6. AI processing, disclosed first

    Before anyone uses screening, a plain-language notice explains what is processed and by whom, with its own consent step.

  7. No advertising, no selling data

    No ads, no ad tracking, and no sale of personal data.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is kept in your own browser and never sent anywhere. The check page runs entirely on your device: files you check are not uploaded.
